On May 20, 2025, children from Haimen District's Xin Education Primary School visited the Nantong headquarters of CheerBio, embarking on a research and study trip themed " A Magical Journey of Hydroponic Vegetable Growth ".

At the CheerBio plant factory, the children observed up close how the roots of lettuce, strawberries, and tomatoes spread in nutrient solution, how LED grow lights simulate precise light recipes, and how the Internet of Things (IoT) system monitors temperature, humidity, and nutrient data in real-time. These concepts of " smart agriculture " that were once only found in textbooks became tangible, real-world scenarios.

During the activity, the children, under guidance, completed the sowing of lettuce seeds and witnessed their filled planting sponges being placed into the automated seedling factory. In the harvesting segment, they personally picked tomatoes grown using hydroponic technology, and their interest in the taste differences of the crops was piqued after tasting them.

"Traditional agricultural education is limited by season and location, but PlantBlock, through standardized modules and digital control, compresses the plant growth cycle to 28 days, allowing children to observe the entire process from seed to harvest in a short period of time." said Zhang Bo, head of CheerBio's research and study program. The activity's design of " sowing-seedling-harvesting " three-stage experience not only conveys the advantages of soilless cultivation and water conservation of hydroponic technology, but also guides children to think about the scientific principles behind the technology.

CheerBio's one-stop solution for cross-disciplinary smart planting practice education uses PlantBlock as its core, integrating nine core technologies including bio-optics, hydroponic technology, the Internet of Things, and artificial intelligence. This solution uses an IoT system to control lighting, nutrient solution, and other planting elements with one click, achieving precise planting and scientific management. In research and study education, this solution provides students with an immersive learning environment, allowing them to experience the entire process of plant cultivation, from sowing to harvesting, and experience the charm of modern agricultural technology.

Liang Xiaokai, CEO of the company, said: "We hope to use IoT integrated planting laboratories " to cultivate future agricultural 'seed engineers.' Currently, planting laboratories have been built in Nanjing, Hangzhou, and other schools as demonstration points. Its "hardware + curriculum + data" three-in-one model is redefining the connotation of new-era labor education. Perhaps in the not-too-distant future, the scientific curiosity sown today will grow into a key force in solving food security and ecological challenges.
