On May 5th, the main component of the indoor artificial light plant factory equipment independently designed and developed by CheerBio - the "planting tray" - was successfully launched! 👏👏👏 
This component is a key part of the home vegetable planting machine - PlantBlock. It helps the equipment achieve the function of simultaneously providing three different nutrient solutions, meeting the needs of families for diversified planting. At the same time, the equipment can be cleaned layer by layer without interference, truly realizing the home needs of uninterrupted cyclical planting and continuous harvesting.
It's a simple tray, but there's a lot of science behind it. Every dimension of the tray needs constant adjustment and testing.
For example, the depth of the tray must maintain air circulation at the roots while ensuring that the roots are in contact with the nutrient solution; for example, the small protrusions, their position and size will affect the water flow direction and speed, and constant experiments are needed to ensure that the water flows evenly through the roots of each plant; for example, how to achieve the up and down water function within the same column in a limited space...
In addition, this component is integrally injection-molded. It is large in size, and it is difficult to control the shrinkage and deformation of the PP material. The team, through continuous adjustment of manufacturing parameters and processing steps, finally controlled the deformation within the design error requirements.

PlantBlock modular plant factory is an indoor artificial light hydroponic vegetable planting equipment independently researched and designed by CheerBio's Kevin (Liang Xiaokai) team over a year and a half.
This equipment has a high appearance, is extremely simple to assemble, has no screws at all, and all water pipes and circuits are designed with a quick-connect plug-in design. The machine can be controlled by an APP, and the APP guides users step by step to grow pollution-free and harmless fresh vegetables at home.
Currently, the team has successfully planted more than 20 kinds of vegetables, including lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers. The equipment is expected to be launched on the market after August this year. 
In addition, PlantBlock is also suitable for commercial use. Combining PlantBlock arrays together forms a commercial plant factory, which can achieve year-round vegetable production in a fully enclosed factory. This set of equipment consumes less electricity, has low vegetable production costs, high yield, and can be produced close to residential areas, providing citizens with another source of fresh vegetables.
